There are 10 courses offered each year (Jan.-June & Aug. -Nov.) at Raleigh Institute of Biblical Studies. The classes begin on the third Thursday night of each month (7-10pm), continues on Friday night (7-10pm) and concludes on Saturday morning (9am-1pm). The cost for each class is $210 (this includes 10 hours of lecture, a course syllabus and a course textbook when available). An objective question, open book, take home exam must be successfully completed and returned within two weeks to receive credit for these courses. Classes may also be auditedwithout taking the exam (audit unavailable during COVID restrictions).

(Advanced Standing may be offered for previous studies and for some ministerial experiences)

Advanced Standing: the Christian Life School of Theology offers credit for previous studies at other school and for ministerial experience. Advanced Standing may be applied for after a student has completed a minimum of 5 courses with CLST.

Distance Education: CLST courses may also be taken by “home study.” Please see our registrar for more information on this option.

Students who sign up for a course will be provided with a digital file for the syllabus which may be downloaded. It is up to the student whether they choose to print out the syllabus(or they may bring a laptop to class to view the syllabus during lectures). CLST only provides the textbooks for which they can supply a downloadable file (this applies to DE courses as well, so you may want to contact us first regarding the textbook before you order a course). The textbooks for which CLST does not have rights must be obtained by the student at their own expense; you will be provided with the title and ISBN for these classes. You may obtain these books in any way you choose, including purchasing new or used, by Kindle, checking out of a library, borrowing, sharing with other students, etc. In some cases the textbook will be important in finding answers to exam questions that are not included in the syllabus or the course lectures.
